Bug on Jug
Here is the next phonics set. We will send home the packet today.
The new sounds are: /b/, /d/, /g/, /h/, /i/, /j/, /r/, and /u/
The spelling words are: rat, rig, bug, big, jig, dug, rug, bag, dig, hug.
In order of the following pictures, the words are: bad, bag, big, bug, cab, cub, cup, dig, hug, jig, jug, mad, rat, rig, rug.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no picture for ‘dug’ but it is still a spelling word – don’t forget to practice spelling this word as well.
Practice reading the following sentences. Try writing them out without the pictures once your child can read them easily:
